Auto-fill questionnaires. AI-generated answers. One-click submissions. Faster, faster, faster.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But speed was never the actual bottleneck.&nbsp;<strong>Trust was.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A vendor can answer 200 security questions in ten minutes with the help of AI autofill.&nbsp;That doesn&#8217;t tell you whether their controls actually work.&nbsp;It tells you they were fast. Those are not the same&nbsp;thing and&nbsp;treating them as interchangeable is how risk quietly piles up behind a wall of &#8220;completed&#8221; questionnaires.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Speed Actually Optimizes For&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When an entire market chases speed as the primary KPI,&nbsp;here&#8217;s&nbsp;what happens underneath the surface:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Answers get generic<\/strong> :&nbsp;AI-assisted autofill tools are trained to produce plausible-sounding responses, not verified ones.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Verification gets skipped<\/strong> : If the goal is throughput, nobody has time to check whether the answer matches reality.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Risk teams lose visibility<\/strong> :\u00a0A completed questionnaire looks the same whether\u00a0it&#8217;s\u00a0backed by\u00a0real evidence\u00a0or by a well-worded guess.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result is a compliance program that looks efficient on a dashboard and means very little in an actual incident.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Real Question\u00a0Isn&#8217;t\u00a0&#8220;How Fast Can We Approve This Vendor?&#8221;\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s:\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Can we actually prove this vendor is who they say they are?&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s\u00a0a fundamentally different question, and it requires a fundamentally different tool. Not one that helps vendors answer questions faster. One that helps both sides;\u00a0the company\u00a0assessing risk and the vendor proving their posture,\u00a0get to a\u00a0<em>verified<\/em>\u00a0answer, not just a\u00a0<em>submitted<\/em>\u00a0one.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the core distinction between a questionnaire tool and a trust-verification platform. One\u00a0measure\u00a0of\u00a0completion.
